The Visible Church

Compassion in Action Care Ministry Volunteer Interest Form

The Compassion in Action Care Ministry exists to help meet the practical and relational needs of members of The Visible Church and individuals in our local community. Our ministry focuses on three primary areas of care:

MEALS
During difficult seasons of life, preparing meals can feel overwhelming. Our Meals Ministry is designed to help ease that burden by providing simple, reheatable meals during times of need. Meals may be homemade or store-bought and are delivered to the home by you or someone else. Volunteers use their personal funds to finance the meal.

VISITS
We offer caring visits to individuals and families experiencing significant life events such as the birth of a child, surgery, the loss of a loved one, adoption, or a move. Our desire is that no one feels alone during challenging or transitional times. Visits generally last 20–60 minutes and include conversation, encouragement, and prayer. Volunteers may be asked to deliver a meal or benevolence gift during the visit.

SERVICE
Sometimes practical help can make a big difference. Our Service Ministry may be able to assist with needs such as light house cleaning, transportation to appointments, small household repairs, or light yard work. Priority is given to elderly individuals, single parents with young children, those without nearby family support, and people experiencing temporary illness or hardship.
